It wasn’t until recently that I played the Xbox360 version (after having grown up thinking that the Wii version was the only version of this game), and wow, I had a blast on the 360 version. I'm not sure what the controls for the Wii are like, so you might wanna ask others about that. Keep one thing in mind, though: all of this applies to the PS2 version as well, which I played. Obviously, the presentation is much weaker. Werehog's moveset is considerably limited compared to the HD version. But the level design doesn't extenuate the problem too much. Making precise turns (by boost games' standards) is much more difficult. Regular Sonic's steering is stiffer from what I can tell. So they don't have the exploration, interactions, and sidequests of the HD version. There are very basic "hub menus" instead of hub worlds. So you don't have to spend 30 to 60 minutes on it. + This could be arguable, but Eggmanland is split into 1 daytime stage and a number (can't recall) of nighttime stages. +Regular Sonic has all his moves from the get go. They're primarily needed for optional puzzle/obstacle courses with optional unlockables (e.g. At least not a big amount, cause I never got a prompt telling me to go back and get more medals. For sun medals in nighttime stages, you get 1 if you finish the stage fast enough, 1 if you collect enough rings, and 1 if you collect enough. You get 1 to 3 moon medals per daytime stage according to how fast you finish the stage. I'll try to explain in terms of what I consider the Wii version's positives and negatives.
